Who We Are

Trema (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates this website. We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws. What Information We Collect

We collect personal information only when you voluntarily provide it through our website forms:

  • Contact form: name, email address, and the content of your message.
  • Booking inquiry form: name, email address, phone number, preferred date(s), event details, and any other information you choose to include.
  • Newsletter subscription: email address.

We also collect standard server log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) through normal web server operation. This data is not linked to personal identities and is retained for a maximum of 30 days.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you submit to:

  • Respond to your inquiry or booking request
  • Communicate with you about your event
  • Send newsletters or updates, if you opted in (you may unsubscribe at any time)
  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

Third-Party Services

This site uses the following third-party services that may process your data:

  • Contact Form 7 — the plugin that processes form submissions. Form data is transmitted to our server and stored temporarily in WordPress until actioned.
  • Mailchimp — if you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is stored with Mailchimp. See https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/.
  • Google Analytics 4 — we use GA4 to understand how visitors use this site. GA4 collects anonymized usage data (pages visited, session duration, general location, device type) via cookies. Cookies         

This website uses cookies from the following sources:

  • WordPress — functional cookies for session management. These contain no personal data and expire when you close your browser or within a short session window.
  • Google Analytics 4 — analytics cookies to measure site usage. These do not identify you personally.

We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies.

Data Retention

  • Booking and contact inquiries are kept for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil your request and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping.
  • Newsletter subscribers are retained until you unsubscribe.
  • Analytics data is retained in Google Analytics for 14 months (the GA4 default).
  • You may request deletion of your personal data at any time (see Your Rights, below).

Your Rights

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Withdraw consent and request deletion of your data
  • File a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada if you believe your privacy rights have been violated

Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss. This site uses HTTPS encryption for all data in transit.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
